White House Florist celebrating expansion and launch of Winston’s Gift Shop
Open House and Book Signing feature local Southern writers on September 6
White House Florist is introducing a newly redesigned gift store with an open house and book signing Thursday, September 6, 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at its location at 721 Old Cherokee Road.
Jennifer Pryor, owner of White House said, “In addition to our existing personal florist and Weddings by Jennifer businesses, we are excited to now be offering even more unique and thoughtful gift items through Winston’s Gift Shop. We hope everyone will come by during the celebration of our expansion to chat with two great local authors and see all the wonderful gift selections available right here in your community.”
During the celebration, authors Dr. Phil Sawyer and Tom Poland will be signing copies of their newly released book, “Save the Last Dance for Me.” The book tells the story of the legendary Shag dance and its iconic presence at Ocean Drive, Myrtle Beach, and other South Carolina beaches. It also chronicles the unique story of the Society of Stranders. There will be copies available for purchase and music onhand for any shaggers who wish to show off their dance steps.
Winston’s Gift Shop offers a selection of items carefully chosen with local customers in mind. Said Pryor, “As our business has grown, we’ve seen more and more demand for unique gift items. We decided to expand our gift store offerings to provide customers with a convenient, friendly place to find beautiful items for themselves and others.”
